Das HEINRICH-PETTE-INSTITUT für Experimentelle Virologie und Immunologie an der Universität Hamburg - Mitglied der Leibniz-Gemeinschaft (WGL) - sucht zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt eine/ n Einkäufer/-in.
Aufgabenbereiche: eigenständige und leistungsgerechte Beschaffung aller Bedarfs- und Betriebsartikel, Ausbau der bestehenden IT-Systeme des Einkaufes, Optimierung der Beschaffungsprozesse und –organisation, Projektmanagement in interdisziplinären Teams, Verhandlung mit Bietern, Pflege und Ausbau der Lieferantenbeziehungen.
Anforderungsprofil: Abgeschlossene kfm. Ausbildung oder Fachholschulstudium, Erfahrung in vergleichbarer Position, Kenntnisse im Vertragsrecht, Erfahrung in der Vertragsgestaltung, Erfahrungen in öffentlichen Ausschreibungsverfahren -z. B. nach VOL -sind wünschenswert, Englisch in Wort und Schrift.
Persönliche Eigenschaften: Dienstleistungsorientierung, Konflikt- und Teamfähigkeit, Verhandlungsgeschick und Kommunikationsfähigkeit, hohes Engagement und Durchsetzungsvermögen.
Die Stelle ist zunächst auf 2 Jahre mit Option auf Festanstellung zu besetzen und wird nach TV-AVH vergütet.

Virus-Host Interaction
The Heinrich Pette Institute for Experimental Virology and Immunology at the University of Hamburg (HPI) is committed to research on the biology of different human viruses, the pathogensis of viral diseases, the physiological defense reaction of organisms, and associated problems (http://www.hpi-hamburg.de). A postdoctoral research position is available for up to three years in the new department “Virology and Immunology” (head: Wolfram Brune). Extension of the contract beyond the initial three years is possible. Salary and social benefits will be in accordance to the salary scheme for public service employees (TVöD).
Work in the research group of Wolfram Brune focuses on cytomegalovirus – host interaction, particularly on viral stratagies to subvert innate defense mechanisms of the host. Additional projects deal with the mechanisms of the cytomegalovirus species specificity and with lytic replication of Kaposi’s sarcoma-associated Herpesvirus (KSHV).
Applicants should hold a PhD in virology, molecular biology, cell biology or related areas and have a profound background in virus research. Previous experience with herpesviruses and/or small animal models would be welcome. We are looking for a highly motivated, team-oriented colleague with excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work independently.
