Research Teams

The Heinrich Pette Institute’s research units currently consist of five research units, two research groups and two independent junior research groups. The units and research groups are permanent organizational structures, whereas the junior research groups have been appointed on non-tenure track fixed terms since 2010 to ensure the most flexibility as possible in this area.

The combination of permanent and fixed term research units clearly adds value to the organizational structure. A wide subject and technology core alongside opportunities for short term investigations on current German health research questions allows the HPI to maintain a high degree of flexibility without neglecting the continuity of its research profile.
