Zelluläre Virusabwehr

Die Arbeitsgruppe beschäftigt sich mit latenten Infektionen der humanen Gammaherpesviren Kaposi's sarcoma-associated Herpesvirus (KSHV) und Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV). Sowohl EBV als auch KSHV sind mit der Entstehung mehrerer Tumore assoziiert. Die Arbeit in der Gruppe widmet sich der Erforschung der molekularen Grundlagen, welche zur Etablierung und Aufrechterhaltung der latenten Infektion sowie zur Entstehung von Tumoren führen können.
