Prof. Dr. Dirnagl at the first HPI GLP Day

November 12, 2018: GLP Day 2018

The first HPI GLP Day (Good Laboratory Practice Day) aimed to sensitize HPI employees for the responsible generation, documentation and publication of biomedical and biophysical data. The GLP Day took place on November 9, 2018 with more than 100 participants in the Ferdinand-Bergen-Auditorium of the HPI.

What does good laboratory practice mean? How do you guarantee it and what do you need to pay special attention to? These questions were the focus of a total of three expert lectures:

Prof. Dr. Ulrich Dirnagl from the Charité Berlin showed how important a suitable experimental setup as well as the subsequent data analysis and statistical evaluations are for the generation of reliable results.

PD Dr. Andra Schromm from the Research Center Borstel - Leibniz Lung Center spoke in her lecture about the importance of quality management in the documentation of scientific experiments and results.

The publication of biomedical data was the focus of the third lecture given by Dr. Timo Sieber, Product Manager at Sysmex Europe GmbH.
