Leibniz Research Networks (LFV)

The HPI has participated in the Pharmaceutical Agent Research and Biotechnology Leibniz Research Network (LFV) since 2012. The inter- and transdisciplinary research network has four research areas and its investigations include the development of natural active agents and the analysis of their activity spectra. Together with other Leibniz Institutes, the HPI will examine the agents’ antiviral properties.

Furthermore, the HPI is member of the Leibniz Research Network (LFV) INFECTIONS´21 for transmission control of infections in the 21th century. INFECTIONS´21 aims to establish an interdisciplinary research agenda and opens up new avenues of communication across disciplines. New strategies and methods for early warning and outbreak management systems will be developed to control spread of pathogens.
